Broker's Comments
An excellent example of a gaff cutter rigged day boat, designed and built by Ted Spears for the current owner. The double cockpit allows for three adults to comfortably sail her. The hull is GRP sheathed western red cedar on marine plywood frames. She has a mahogany transom, coamings, and internal fittings, with marine ply deck.
She comes with a trailer, blue transport cover, a cream cockpit sailing/ camping cover, and an as new over boom cover the owner intended to turn into a new transport cover.
From what I have seen she looks in very good condition, the woodwork has been well looked after and the varnishing work looks excellent. If I am trying to find faults I would say the transport cover is starting to look slightly tired and she could do with a new coat of anti foul.
The owner is selling as he will be taking part in the next clipper race.
