Broker's Comments
The Moody 31 is a well-liked Bill Dixon/Marine Projects combination sailing cruiser, well-built, safe and sturdy yet with nice clean lines giving her a modern look. The Mk II version has the addition of the sugar scoop transom, perfect for boarding easily from a tender or stern-to the dock.
This particular example appears to be well cared for, upgraded and maintained with good service records. The deck is tidy, all lines lead aft to the cockpit for safe shorthanded sailing yet below she is spacious and bright with plenty of storage for families or extended cruising.
Her sail plan is ideal for a boat this size to be sensibly managed. A slab reefed mainsail with lazy jacks, furling headsail and an asymmetric cruising chute.
She is clean and well presented and below feels bright and fresh, a nice example of a great design.
