For her vintage, the first impression is of a beautiful and well cared for boat; inside and out! She has beautifully carved wood features, and her interior teak appears to be in very good condition; warm and inviting.
Entering via the companionway, the quarter berth is starboard. The Garmin GPS and Raymarine Depth are on an arm above which swings out while underway. The VHF is also installed above the berth. The engine compartment has three access hatches: a small hatch at the berth, a door under the stairs and via the cockpit lazarette.
The L-shaped galley is just port of the stairs. Amenities include a large stainless steel sink, icebox and 3-burner propane Kenyon Marine stove and oven. Storage above and below provide ample space for dinner and glassware, utensils, pots and pans. Storage behind each settee may be used for spares or pantry stores alike.
Her Japanese heritage is evident by the craftsmanship throughout. If in doubt about the orientation of a few of the hatches, make sure the kanji are face up!
The salon area has facing settees which may convert to single berths; storage areas above each settee provide space for books. The large table folds and stores for easy access to the bilge hatches. When it is open and expanded, it is easy to imagine a group of friends or family gathered around. The Dickinson kerosene heater will keep you warm in the coldest of nights at anchor.
Forward of the salon, the head is accessed from the salon or privately via the forward berth. A manual toilet, sink and shower head provide all the amenities needed for comfort.
The forward v-berth has an insert to create a very large sleeping area. A large locker includes the fuel tank for the Dickinson heater, shoes storage and hanging space. There is additional storage under the berth.

Broker's Comments

VIRTUAL TOUR - VIDEO - 80 TO 100 PHOTOS - FULL SPECS CAN BE VIEWED OF THIS 1976 FUJI KETCH 32.

Those who know Fuji 32 sailboats describe them as sturdy, excellent sailors and classy with classic lines. They have a reputation for being practical and reasonably priced.
The beauty of this ketch is more than superficial: single hand-layed fiberglass hull, full keel for stability, beautifully finished interior teak joinery and a layout which is sufficient yet very comfortable. (See full specifications for additional details).
The current owner describes her, whether under power or sail, as very sea worthy and a steady performer.
For a related boat, the Fuji 32 is built from the same hull mold as the Mariner 31/32.
